This three-day event gives both attention to analogue processes of networking (networks out of time) and the idea of shifting cultural paradigms via network technologies (networks out of place). reSource 002: Out of Place, Out of Time aims to reflect on modalities of artistic production in the framework of digital culture and network economy, while generating a collective insight into the themes of the upcoming transmediale and CTM festivals.
reSource 002: Out of Place, Out of Time reflects on the issues of re-contextualisation, recombination, montage, displacement, reinvention of socio-cultural paradigms, appropriation and trappropriation and transformation of an eclectic range of resources through network practices.

Die Künstlergruppe possible.movement gründete sich 2009 und erforscht die Schnittstellen zwischen den Kunstformen Choreografie, Zeichnung und Komposition und präsentiert die Ergebnisse dieser Forschung in themenbezogenen Performances. Through the work “Double Flowers” Paula Muhr explores socio-cultural mechanisms and strategies of constructing sexuality, gender, desire and normality. She is especially interested in the historical and contemporary mediating role of photography and other lens-based media in the construction of knowledge as well as in the creation of social norms of acceptable and desirable appearance and behavior. She questions scientific and social practices reflected in medical portrait photography and written documents from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, juxtaposing them with contemporary medical material.
“Double Flowers” is an artistic reinterpretation of historical medical images of female psychiatric patients, predominantly of “hysterics” from the famous French clinic Salpetriere. The appropriated images, which originally served as an illustration, but also as an unambiguous objective evidence of illness and abnormality, are destabilised in their original function.

Mit ISTANBUL_related 1= Labor eröffnet die Galerie Verein Berliner Künstler ein Projekt, das sich experimentellen Bedingungen unterstellt. Es bildet dabei den ersten Schritt im Kontext eines langfristig angelegten künstlerischen Austausches zwischen Künstler/innen aus Berlin und Istanbul.
DIE ERÖFFNUNG von ISTANBUL_related 1= Labor bildet den Auftakt einer künstlerischen Annäherung an die Stadt Istanbul aus Berliner Perspektive, die im Dezember 2012 in der Galerie ART350 in Erenköy-İstanbul fortgesetzt wird. Zur Eröffnung werden noch keine künstlerischen Endergebnisse präsentiert. Die sichbaren Spuren des Einzugs zeugen lediglich von den unterschiedlichen Arbeitsbedingungen der Beteiligten und fokussieren mögliche Richtungen. Diese für den Verein Berliner Künstler innovative Projektform schafft Bedingungen für eine gemeinsame Auseinandersetzung mit der Stadt Istanbul, die hier öffentlich inszeniert wird.

In Verbindung mit dem dritten Geburtstag des Gängeviertels zeigt die Galerie in der Speckstraße neue Arbeiten der Künstler(innen) Katrin Kampmann, Virginie Mossé und Oliver Ross. Der Titel der Ausstellung Die Dinge des Lebens ist eine Referenz an die gleichnamige Verfilmung von Claude Sautet. Die Geschichte, als Reflexion und Rückschau eines sterbenden Mannes irgendwo zwischen Erinnerung und Traum, entwirft in scheinbar nebensächlichen Episoden ein ausgefülltes Leben. Die Arbeiten drehen sich um die Vorstellungen von Traum, als unbewusstes Trugbild oder visionäre Erscheinung, und Wirklichkeit, in ihrer Konstruktion durch rationale Selektion. Nach seinem Fluchtversuch aus Preußen wurde Kronprinz Friedrich von seinem Vater Friedrich Wilhelm I. von 1730-1732 im Küstriner Schloss inhaftiert. Am 6. November 1730 ließ der König vor den Augen des Kronprinzen dessen Fluchthelfer und Freund Hans Hermann von Katte enthaupten. Noch ist die ehemalige Festung, in der sich das Schloss befand, nicht touristisch erschlossen und befindet sich in einem Zwischenstadium – außerhalb der Stadt Kostrzyn, aber direkt an der Landesgrenze Polens. Auf dem Ruinengelände der einstigen Festung Küstrin (heute Kostrzyn nad Odrą) haben elf internationale Künstler situationsspezifische Kunstwerke implantiert, die skulptural ungewöhnlich sind und den Charakter von Denk-Zeichen haben.

A Time Capsule is a container storing a selection of objects chosen as being typical of the present time, buried for discovery in the future. At this moment in human history, four time capsules have been launched into space— two Pioneer Plaques and the two Voyager Golden Records with the hope that other civilized spacefarers will find them. In 2014 the KEO satellite will be sent into space with individual messages from earthlings to be read by future earthlings when the satellite returns to earth in the year 52,000...

Im Mittelpunkt dieser zweiten thematischen Ausstellung „Das verortete Verlangen 2“ stellt sich die Frage, in welcher physischen Form und welcher überhöhten Perspektive der Künstler das Festhalten seines Blickes vermittelt? Welche Verortung der „Inneren Landschaft“ wird festgehalten? Wie können wir uns tatsächlich mit der Erde verbinden?
Die künstlerischen Ergebnisse der Ausstellung - mit einem kartographischen Blick gearbeitet - zeigen einen Ausschnitt, immer ein Teil des Ganzen, unserer Welt. Alle präsentierten zehn Positionen beziehen sich auf einen realen Zustand. Sie sind immer als Puzzlestück zu sehen, nicht als Raumdarstellung mit einer Begrenzung, sondern mit einer visuellen Weite über den Rand hinaus.

100 years ago, in 1912, Wassily Kandinsky published in the almanac "The Blue Rider" a text which seems to be a manifest on founding sound art - at least a foreshadowing of sound art. His writing "Über Bühnenkomposition" (On stage composition) is a theoretical preface on a planned stage piece called "Der gelbe Klang" (The yellow sound) and in this text he postulated a new connection between the arts, an "inner" connection of "sound, color, words" and movement. His piece was never realised in his lifetime.
The installation Der gelbe Klang2 (The yellow sound2) as a homage to Kandinsky takes his conceptual ideas and makes a transfer into a contemporary sound art piece. Georg Klein often works in his sound art installations with a certain color which defines togehter with a basic sound a fundamental atmosphere of a specific site, preparing a field in which more material - sounds, words, video - can appear.
