"Areal Atlas is a dynamic network constituted of relations between visual-verbal texts and soundtracks. It is an ongoing cartography, in which each and every observation generates a new visual experience as well as an extension of "the map of the inner world": a snapshot among the unlimited possible ones. Areal Atlas challenges the traditional view of map-making in which the geological symbols are distinguished from other types of cartographic symbols, such as the symbols of the built environment. Atlante Areale proposes a "multi-place", a hypertext that interacts with the emotions and cognitions of the observer, which are different from person to person, just like fingerprints. Likewise, the relationships and resonances that can be generated are unlimited, and thus each reader, through his/her own way of looking at and interpreting, becomes a coauthor..."

"One goes to school, goes back home, travels, improvises. Sooner or later, goes to the doctor. One praises or condemns the world or aspects of it and has an intimate view on life. And that is all just fine. Hierarchies are temporal and various and, at the end, things tend to be mingled together. In my drawings, I also bring together in combination without loss of individual characteristics. I portray without particular subjects and make without sense. And then, I simply enjoy the gymnastics of deconstructive reading. So, I have found and work on my way to mingle."

Secil Yaylalis artproject "Let'S!" took place in Istanbul (Sulukule), Alexandria (El-Max), Berlin (Kreuzberg) and Barcelona (Raval) and involved youth out of areas highly populated with migrants. Its focusses problems and disadvantages which are resulting out of living in those areas.
The project is researching and reflecting this issue and linked ideas and wishes of a future living, together with the youth population via a selfmade claymation film project (animation and clay figures). The resulting films have been discussed in different locations with the youth settled onsite. Parallels and differences have been sounded out and possible ways of tolerance and otherness have been opened.

"Berlin based artist, Reynold Reynold’s will be building his film set and filming his latest work “Six Easy Pieces” in one of MMX’s unique rooms where the public will be encouraged to get a behind the scenes look of his production and filming process.
The screening room will be showing Achivo video_dumbo curated by Caspar Stracke & Gabriela Monroy, presenting over 35 video works from international video artists. Canadian artist Daniel Wilson will build an interactive media installation. Darri Lorenzen from Iceland is creating a custom installation and there will be a motion sensitive drawing machine by Patrick Timm from Germany..."

Ihre Funktionalität ist meist zweideutig und in ihrer Form bewegen sie sich eher auf rätselhaftem als auf ästhetischem Terrain. The exhibition series “connect:” at the ifa galleries in Berlin and Stuttgart presents national, regional or local art scenes which are currently not in the focus of international attention but where nonetheless exciting developments are taking place.

Ha Manh Thang (born 1980), Huong Duong Cam (b. 1974), Ly Hoang Ly (b. 1975) Nguyen Kim Hoang (b. 1976), Nguyen Thu Ha (b. 1982), Truong Tan (b. 1963), Tran Luong (b. 1960), Nguyen Manh Hung (b. 1976), Nguyen Quang Huy (b. 1971), Nguyen Minh Phuoc (b. 1973) and Dinh Q. Le (b. 1968).
The selection focuses on artists from the cities Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City in the south of Vietnam.

From now on new work of Roland Fuhrmann can be visited, which is permanently installed in the entrance hall of the main building of the Brandenburgian Technical University of Cottbus (art-and-construction). It is open week-daily and around the clock (night doormen).
"UNIVERSITAS - Light-Orbiter
diameter 2,20 m (7,35 ft), 40 solar cells, created 2007, realized 2009
A blue ring turns slowly in space. With changing beam of light flares its iridescent surface from silicon crystals. The light-weight construction embodies pure function and associates airship structures and outer space habitats. Noiseless weightlessness dominate the scope. The light orbiter decelerate the speed of light into a contemplative orbit and transfers it as positive load to the viewer."
