Remixens ergeben ein offenes Gebrauchsfeld, das zwar unzählige
Spuren und Schichten kennt, die Unterscheidung von Original und
Kopie aber zunehmend unbrauchbar macht. Der digitale Fortschritt,
mühelos Eins-zu-eins-Kopien erzeugen zu können, steht jedoch im
scharfen Widerspruch zum geltenden Eigentumsprinzip.

Anouk Kruithof’s latest photo series "Becoming Blue" comprises
21portraits and three spatial stills. They are presented in different
formats and reveal Kruithof’s highly exceptional approach to the topic
of portrait photography. First, the artist addressed those people that
she found most individual and particularly expressive and persuaded
them to participate in a photo session – wearing an item of blue
clothing of their own choice.

Philosophy, religion, symbolism and the view on nature are the basis for the traditionally close relationship between garden and landscape architecture, literature and fine arts. Young Chinese artists also deal with nature and landscape explicitly: Cindy Ng Sio Ieng and Liu Wei are presented as two examples in the exhibition, who in their photo and video works perceive, interpret and present central motifs of Chinese natural philosophy and landscape imagery in new ways – the water and the mountain.

The exhibition is accompanied by a 88-pages catalogue with numerous colour illustrations and texts by Valerie Hammerbacher, Yu Kongjian, Hu Jie and others, available for 14 Euros.

Gölgeye Övgü, siluetler, gölgeler, gölge tiyatrosu ve çağdaş sanatı irdeleyen bir sergi. Sergi süresince Lotte Reiniger filmleri gösterilecektir. Diese Ausstellung trägt die wichtigsten Werke von 8 zeitgenössischen Künstlern aus 7 verschiedenen Ländern zusammen. Unter ihnen befinden sich auch zwei Regisseure aus der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts, darunter Lotte Reiniger. A comprehensive show, a family album and a personal diary of the last fifteen years: In this chronicle portraits of the Queen in the Buckingham Palace, Bill Clinton in the Oval Office or Demi Moore in the late stages of pregnancy stand face to face with poignant photographs of the births of her own three daughters or of her father’s death.

The exhibition, organized by Brooklyn Museum, New York, comprises a total of more than 200 photographs, many of them small format black and white portraits, private family photos and large-format landscapes.
