Every day for 2 weeks you and your partner (you can choose someone or let us do so) will each send 1 photo to the project blog. We are interested in the shifts in emotion or mood portrayed in the photos, so you can use this project as a way to get to know someone better or to develop ties to someone new.
All 9 months of photos will be available via the project blog, which
will become a reference for both weather and emotion, across geography and time.

Proposals
Proposals to the foundation can take the form of installations, public interventions, residencies and exhibitions where the artist is commissioned to create new work. All proposals must include a project description, examples of the artist's work, and a resume. It must also contain a budget identifying the artist's honorarium, project costs, and total budget. All materials must be submitted on a single disk in digital format, mailed to the foundation's address, or via e-mail to proposals@harpofoundation.org. Der Landkreis Germersheim vergibt zum fünfzehnten Mal den von ihm zur Förderung der bildenden Kunst gestifteten „Albert-Haueisen-Kunstpreis“. Der mit insgesamt 7.000 Euro dotierte Kunstpreis wird gemeinsam für Malerei, Grafik und Plastik vergeben. An der Ausschreibung können sich alle Künstlerinnen und Künstler die in Rheinland-Pfalz, in Baden-Württemberg oder dem Elsaß wirken, beteiligen. Der Kunstpreis wird in Form eines Haupt- sowie eines Förderpreises vergeben. Diese Preise können entsprechend einem Vorschlag der Jury auch auf mehrere Arbeiten verteilt vergeben werden, wobei für den Hauptpreis ein Betrag von 5.000 Euro und für den Förderpreis ein Betrag von 2.000 Euro zur Verfügung stehen. This is an open call for young creative souls embracing limelight as a

7th Asia-Europe Art Camp - Art Workshop for Visual Arts 2009

We want to bring together a core group of comprising 9 European and 9 Asian visual artists. The selected artists are expected to present their workto each other, to engage in art-making and fieldwork and to produce individual work for an exhibition in Shanghai and a presentation at the Luxembourg Pavilion of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
The process takes place over a period of 12 months starting in Luxembourg, and continue in Shanghai.
Moved, Mutated and Disturbed Identities has been set as this year’s theme.

The first season of Atopia’s Vitrine project has just ended. Five video artists based in Norway were invited to produce new works for Vitrine for the period of Dec. 2008 – March 2009. For its second season we wish to invite 6-8 artists both from Norway and from other countries.
Vitrine is an outdoor project of Atopia that is specially designed for its location in Oslo. The space is equipped with four large windows facing Sannergata at street level. We have created the possibility for projection onto these windows using back projection material with the capability of synchronizing the four video´s. Sannergata is a busy route for traffic moving in and out of the city, and the Vitrine project has the potential of reaching thousands of viewers everyday. The Chronicle of New Media Art, a biannual DVD publication, is currently accepting submissions of work for Volume 14: Middle East. From ancient times to the contemporary moment, this region is a crucible of cultural, religious, economic, political and strategic import. We seek new media work focused on any aspect of this sensitive region, and are specifically interested in work generated in the Middle East, but will consider all work focused on the topic. We will review installation, video, performance, sound, and any other work best documented in time-based format.
The staff of ASPECT is asking artist/commentator pairs to submit proposals of time-based work made in, or focused on, the Middle East. Commentators may be curators, historians, critics, or educators who can offer a distinct perspective on the work. Due to the format of the publication, the criteria for selection will include both the qualifications of the commentator and the quality of the work submitted. ...

»Was kann ich heute für morgen tun?« Unter diesem Motto sucht die Aktion Mensch gemeinsam mit dem Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND), Brot für die Welt und dem Evangelischen Entwicklungsdienst (eed) aussagekräftige Kurzfilme. Gesucht werden Statements, Aktionen und Handlungskonzepte für ein zukunftsfähiges Miteinander, das die Welt verträglicher für die Natur und gerechter für den Menschen macht. Was kann getan werden in der Nachbarschaft, in der eigenen Stadt oder auch global betrachtet? »Klimasünder« ausfindig machen und vom Sinn eines anderen Handelns überzeugen, mit Freunden einen »Wald« pflanzen, einen Fußgängertag initiieren. Sich für fairen Handel und gegen Armut engagieren. Mitreißen. Jeder kann Regie führen für eine solidarische Zukunft. Ob humorvoll, dokumentarisch oder kunstvoll – der Darstellung der eigenen Ideen sind keine Grenzen gesetzt.

7th Vevey International Photo Awards - Festival Des Arts Visuels de Vevey

The Vevey International Photo Awards is a competition of photographic projects with a first prize of 30,000CHF (approx. 20,000 Euros). It is organized by the Fondation Vevey, ville d’images as part of the festival Images’. The purpose of the competition is to promote outstanding personal work that is original and unconventional. There are, therefore, no limitations as to the choice of subject matter or genre.
Participation
The competition is open to professional artists or photographers, and to students. Its aim is to support talented creators, without any limit of age, by enabling them to carry out a personal project. The prize winner’s project will be completed and exhibited at the next festival Images’ in Vevey, in September 2010.
