Polymath Breakthrough Residency

Visual Arts residency will combine a group of artists with professionals from disciplines outside the arts to work toward big ideas.
The program fee is $2,963 and it includes shared accommodation and meal plan at The Banff Centre for the duration of the program. GST will be applied to the program fee, where applicable. Single rooms are subject to availability and payment of an additional $703.
In addition to the program fee, participants are responsible for all costs associated with their stay such as shipping costs, materials and supplies, the rental and use of audio/visual equipment, photographic materials, all printing costs, and any specific facilities fees.
Scholarship and financial aid to cover up to 54 per cent of the program fee (based on shared accommodation) is available. Applicants who wish to be considered for financial aid must indicate their request on the application form and must submit a Statement of Financial Need.

In a uniquely international setting, Transart Institute offers an accredited two year low-residency course for working artists, teachers and all professionals in related fields who are seeking advancement in visual arts and new media. The program consists of three intensive summer residencies in Europe filled with lectures, workshops, critiques, seminars, performances and exhibitions and two shorter, optional winter residencies in New York. In the four semesters between residencies, students create an individual course of study realizing art and research projects with the support of faculty and self-chosen artist mentors wherever they work and live.

A Residency Project Urban Interventions: Artistic Perspectives (UIAP)

Summary: UIAP is a one-off project to be realized in 2009 for enabling visual artists from Turkey to attend a residency program in Linz, Austria, from July to September, 2009, and again from October to December, 2009. The program will be reciprocated in 2010 in Istanbul.

Goal: The project “Urban Interventions” aims at inviting artists from Europe to explore various urban landscapes in different cities. It creates, within the framework of artist residency programs and activities, a platform for interaction and exchange both on a local level, as well as within a broader, inter-regional spectrum.

Headlands Center for the Arts' Artist in Residence Program

The Artist in Residence program provides a supportive working environment that allows time for artists to experiment, reflect and grow, both individually and collectively during their stay.

The program offers fully sponsored, live-in and live-out residencies to 40–50 artists each year from March to November and is distinguished in that there is no fee to participate.Artists in Residence are provided with a studio, shared housing and five meals a week for live-in artists. A studio and dinner twice weekly are provided for live-out artists. Stipends of up to $500/month are available pending funding and sponsorships secured each year.

Residencies range from one to six months, with an average stay of three months.

The CFC Media Lab TELUS Interactive Art & Entertainment Program (IAEP) is Canada's first post-graduate training and production program. Team-based, self-directed and project-driven, the TELUS IAEP merges collaborative exploration with the fundamentals of new media, with a particular emphasis on narrative theory and storytelling.
The tuition cost of attending the TELUS IAEP is $8,500.00 CDN for Canadian residents and $15,000 CDN for international students. The CFC offers Fellowships to all accepted Canadian participants in the TELUS IAEP at the CFC Media Lab. In addition to the Fellowships there are a number of different Canadian funding bodies that will support residents in covering either all or part of their tuition costs. Internationale Ausschreibung. Höchstalter 45 Jahre. Für jeweils 3 Monate vergibt die Stadt Esslingen jährlich zweimal das Stipendium Esslinger Bahnwärter für Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus den Bereichen Literatur oder Bildender Kunst. Eine Wohnung in der Galerie Bahnwärterhaus und ein Atelierraum werden unentgeltlich zur Verfügung gestellt, der Unterhaltszuschuss beträgt €1000 im Monat. Bewerbungsunterlagen sollen ein Exposé für das Werk enthalten, das während des Stipendiums erarbeitet werden soll sowie Lebenslauf und Arbeitsbeispiele.

The conference will be opened by programmatic background information on the concept and importance of innovation from philosophical, political and industrial view points. It will be followed by interactive panel sessions on “Urban Spaces for Innovation” and “Innovation Development” in creative sectors. The Art Interview - 17th International Online Artist Competition is
a quarterly, international, juried exhibition of paintings, drawings
and sculptures in any medium. It is open to all living artists
worldwide aged 16 and up. A European gallery exhibition and a total of
17,000 Euro in cash may be awarded each quarter to the first, second
and third place winners. First place winners receive up to 10,000 Euro
plus a featured interview in Art Interview Online Magazine.

The competition is run completely over the Internet, which eliminates
the need for you to send slides or arrange for physical transportation
of your artworks.
